Sharing My Lessons Learnt

Hi, I’m Karen. I started Selfcare Karen (SCK) in the midst of the very chaotic pandemic lockdown. After almost two decades working in a corporate environment and fast paced roles; it wasn’t until we were forced to stay home and be stuck with ourselves that I realised I wasn’t living a life of true fulfilment.

 

The full-time workload had taken me away from my hobbies, my family and friends, and most importantly myself. I had the realisation that I wasn’t taking care of myself the way I should, and as a mother (and not a particularly young one at that) of a very rambunctious toddler, I knew I had to start being mindful of my energy and health.

 

And so Selfcare Karen was born. I decided to take a career break and whole-heartedly pursue my passion of all things ‘self care’. During this time, I have explored a plethora of skincare and self-love routines, manifestation tactics and self-care therapies including meditation.

I decided to launch my YouTube channel so I could document my journey and share my learnings. A few months after I opened my Etsy shop, dedicated to all things self care and self love! I know have my collection of self-care resources available for you to buy direct from me here, on my website.

 

Most recently I’ve discovered Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and have been eagerly sharing all its wonderful benefits to the SCK Tribe!

 

So this is me, and this is Selfcare Karen. My purpose is to help women enhance their self care and learn to love themselves. I truly believe that true self care can only be achieved by demonstrating self love, and through trial and error, I figured out a formula that helped me find myself again. Now I'm passing along what I've learned to you.
